The text Glædelig Jul is Danish and means “Merry Christmas”. You can change the Danish wish to either Swedish and Norwegian (God Jul), Icelandic (Gleðileg jól), or Finnish (Hyvää Joulua). Simply use the texts provided at the end of this pattern to customise it. The pattern features a series of borders, snowflakes, trees and animals that could also be used on any other project. Although I have opted for a monochrome red sampler, you can choose any colour, or a mix of your favourite colours. This sampler measures 277 crosses in height by 173 crosses in width. Stitched over two threads on 32 count linen, this sampler would measure approximately 17 3/8” by 10 7/8” (44 by 27.5 cm).
