Mixed Media Art

Took place in Sew Somerset 2018 Summer Edition, this original portrait embroidery art is actually a mixed media wall decor which is both a hand embroidered artwork and an original mixed media painting on cotton canvas. This needlepoint wall hanging is first hand stitched by using dmc threads and then it is painted by using watercolor paint. Beautiful Super sparkling winter red robin Mixed media framed art Hand Crafted by Myself , Made with hundreds of tiny quality rhinestones and crystals all individually glued on. These have lots of beautiful resin flowers and irredentist half pearls in reds browns and sparkling whites and for added prettiness quality glass crystals and lots of recycled pieces of jewellery. Made out of vintage and modern buttons and for extra sparkle a few swarovski crystals , also includes beads . This is a one off peice. this item comes ready framed in an off white vintage style frame. I use very high quality glass rainbow rhinestones ( no acrylic or resin) with a mix of a few Swarovski rhinestones for that added bit of extra sparkliness also has some vintage necklace pieces which give it that extra bit of a special touch. Some Of the rhinestones I use are vintage rhinestones circa 1950’s to 1980’s and some are made in France Czechoslavakia and Austria. Most are foiled giving them extra sparkle I also try to avoid using acrylic cheaper versions as you don’t get the sparkle you get with genuine glass rhinestones. Each piece is 100% individual and no two items are the same. Each one takes several hours to produce. I can do a variety of colours not just these so If there is a particular colour you would like but can’t see please message and I may be able to create for you. (IMPORTANT please bear in mind that each one is handmade and will never be 100% factory perfect. I can recreate similar but I can never make exactly the same, I use high quality rhinestones and a few Swarovski and good quality costume jewellery so this is what makes each one individual. I don’t mind having input from you in r
egards to colours… everything else just happens so I can’t always do to your specifications perfectly although every effort is made to make it as perfect for you as I can.
